Step 1: Check that you meet both IRCC eligibility and community-specific requirements.

  • You must be qualified based on work experience or have graduated from a publicly funded post-secondary institution in the recommending community
  • You must meet or exceed the language requirements; either Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) or Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC)
  • You must meet or exceed the educational requirements
  • You must prove you have enough money to support yourself and any other family member while in the  community
  • You must intend to live in the community
  • You must meet community-specific requirements.

Step 2: Find a job with an eligible employer in Claresholm

You must have a genuine job offer from an employer in Claresholm and you must meet all the job requirements. Also the job you are offered must meet the following requirements:

  • It should be a full-time job with at least 30 paid hours per week.
  • The job should be non-seasonal, that is it should be a consistent job;
  • The employment is permanent which means there isn’t a duration and time to end;
  • The  wages need to meet or exceed the Job Bank’s minimum wage for your job offers National Occupational Classification (NOC); and
  • Your experience must prove that you can carry out all job duties effectively.
  • You must submit your job applications using the Claresholm RNIP Employment Portal

Step 3: Once you have a job offer, submit your application

The community will review applications and select best-fit candidates.
